I have a CPR card already; why do I have to take the CPR course again as part of becoming a ProTrainings Instructor?

Completing both the student and instructor training at the level you plan to teach ensures that you are familiar with the ProTrainings curriculum before you become a ProTrainings instructor.

Completing a hands-on skill evaluation is also part of the instructor certification. The hands-on skill evaluation will cover both the CPR certification and the instructor certification.

Upon renewal of your instructor course in 2 years (if you meet the instructor training requirements over that 2 year period), ProTrainings does not require you to take a CPR course. However, some organizations, licensing departments and employers may require instructors to have recent CPR certification to ensure that they are maintaining their skills and knowledge, although it is not a requirement of renewing as an instructor.

It's always best to check with ProTrainings or your specific organization to understand their requirements for instructor certification.
